How to set up an Email Account in Netscape 7.0

1. Open Netscape 7.0

2. Open your inbox (small envelope in the bottom left-hand corner)

3. Go to Edit, Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings

4. On the left hand side select local folders and on the right type in your account name (i.e. user@bbc.net), and click OK

5. Click New Account Setup on the next screen, it will bring up an account setup wizard

6. Click email account then click next

7. Type in your Name (first and last) and then type in your email address and click next

8. Select POP and type mail.bbc.net in the incoming server name and click next

9. Verify your username and click next

10. Verify your account name and click next

11. Verify all your account information and click finish

12. If something in your information is wrong click the back button until you are able to change the wrong information to the right information!

13. After you have set up your account please close and reopen Netscape, to assure changes have been saved.

How to Check your Email Account Settings in Netscape 7.0?

1. Open your Netscape Inbox

2. Go to Edit, Mail & Newsgroup Account Settings

3. On the top left side click on your account so it is highlighted

4. On the right hand side verify that your name and email address is entered correctly

5. On the left hand side click on server settings and verify that server type is POP, the server name is mail.bbc.net, and your username is correct – without the bbc.net behind it

6. On the left hand side click on news and make sure that your name and email address are entered correctly

7. On the left hand side click on server settings – below news- and make sure that the server name is news.bbc.net

8. On the left hand side click on Outgoing Server (SMTP) and make sure that the server name is mail.bbc.net

9. If all the settings are correct your email should be working!
