Setting up Dial-Up Connection in Windows XP

 

I.                   Click Start then go to Run, type in “inetwiz” (no quotes) and click OK

 

              

 

II.                On the setup screen select Connect using my Phone line and click Next

         

 

III.             Select Create a New Dial-up Networking Connection and click Next

        

 

IV.              Type your Local Access Number and Uncheck use Area Code and dialing Rules and click Next

      

 

V.                 Enter your Username and Password and click Next

      

 

VI.              Rename the connection to bbc.net (optional) and click Next

     

 

VII.           Click Yes to setup your Mail Account and click Next

    

 

VIII.        Select Create New Internet Mail Account and click Next

   

 

IX.              Enter your First and Last Name and click Next

   

 

X.                 Enter your Email address and click Next

 

XI.              Your Mail Server is a POP3 and the incoming and outgoing servers are both mail.bbc.net – click Next

    

 

XII.           Enter your Account Name and Password and Click Next

    

 

XIII.        Complete the Wizard by clicking on Finish

    

 

XIV.   Double click on Internet Explorer and click Connect on your Dial-Up connection box
